Statements
23 September 2019
The IAP issued the statement to the UN High-Level Meeting (HLM) on Universal Health Coverage, held during the 2019 UN General Assembly. The statement is informed by the IAP’s unique experience as the only independent accountability mechanism established under the SDGs so far. It calls for an integrated health accountability under Universal Health Coverage (UHC), implemented through PHC; prioritize the health of women, children and adolescents and those left behind; and focus on country needs, mechanisms and impact.
