The Independent Accountability Panel (IAP) held its second face to face meeting, since being appointed by the UN Secretary General in February. The IAP met in Geneva on 27th and 28th May with the main aim being to develop the IAP’s First Report, which is due to be published in September 2016.

The 2016 report will highlight emerging issues since the preparation of the Strategy, identify key themes for the 2017 report and focus on any critical gaps in data and analysis which the Panel has identified. The 2016 report will also make any necessary recommendations and observations on harmonization of indicators and reporting by development partners.

A session was also held at Women Deliver in Copenhagen in May that  provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share their perspectives, priorities and recommendations for the IAP.
