Consultation on IAP’s Accountability Framework: practical recommendations and lessons learned
The IAP commissioned a multistakeholder consultation through an online survey and key informant interviews related to the IAP’s landmark 2020 report three overarching recommendations:
- Institutionalize accountability to systematize the monitor˶ review˶ remedy and act functionś
- Democratize accountability to ensure that the voices of people and communities are heard́; and
- Invest in country data systems as a matter of health and financial security and human rights˼

The UN SG’s Independent Accountability Panel for Every Woman, Every Child, Every Adolescent (IAP) commissioned a literature review to assess the available knowledge on the potential impact of COVID-19 to the health of women, children and adolescents.

Literature review on how accountability platforms, mechanisms, actions, or activities carried out by stakeholders (public, private, or partners) impact systems performance, health outcomes, and/or health relevant SDG outcomes in countries
The Report was commissioned by the UN SG’s Independent Accountability Panel for Every Woman, Every Child, Every Adolescent (IAP) to analyse whether accountability factors (e.g. civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS), corruption, transparency, human rights complaints procedures and mechanisms etc.) could be associated with progress in systems performance and health/ SDGs outcomes in countries.
