Prof. Vinod K. Paul, MD, PhD, is chair of the department of pediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India, a visiting professor at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), and the co-chair of the Commission on Health for the state of Himachal Pradesh. He leads the WHO Collaborating Centre on Newborn Health and chairs the Technical Advisory Group on Women’s and Children’s Health of WHO South East Asia Region.Dr. Paul has been a co-chair of the board of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH), a member of the United Nations Millennium Project Task Force on Child Health and Maternal Health, and a member of India’s High Level Expert Group on Universal Healthcare Coverage. Prof. Paul received the prestigious Public Health Champion award by WHO India in 2015.
